RE: Wifi signal booster

Fizz, I think I will go with that idea! I just need to find an inexpensive usb wifi adapter. I can mount this outside the RV and point it at the wifi source in the RV park. I think that should get me the signal inside the RV. Any suggestions on where to purchase an inexpensive usb wifi adapter? Again thanks to everyone!

RE: Wifi signal booster

It would be helpful if, in these posts, people would specify that a product is one of the following: thanks I must admit that I have been a little confused, but I think I get it? With my internal wifi and antenna i probably should go with #1. external wifi adapter, typically USB-connected, which can be located away from, and can replace, an internal wifi adapter I want to place the antenna outside the Rv for the best reception. Airlink AWLL3055 USB Wi-Fi adapter, I called Frys and they said they had nothing under $70.00 Can the WiFire be extended to outside the RV?

Wifi signal booster

I will be staying in an RV park for a couple months that has free wifi. I have been told that the signal is not strong enough to use in the RV. Will a wifi signal booster be the answer here? Which one will work best with my laptop, which has a built-in wifi antena? we want to use Skype and would like to leave computer on to receive calls. Thanks Chuck

RE: When ya leaving? Where ya crossing?

I'd recommend that you cross into Baja at Tecate and take Mex-3 to Ensenada. You bypass the whole TJ mess and the toll section of Mex-1, plus you get to visit the beautiful 'wine valley' area of Baja. Thanks for the advice, but we cross at TJ all the time. It is easier based on where we live and I have got the turns and exits down pretty good. I will return via valle guadalupe and cross at Tecate just to take in that scenic part of Baja I have yet to see.

RE: When ya leaving? Where ya crossing?

We will be leaving Calif. on the 28th of November crossing at Lukeville and heading to Celestino RV resort for Dec and Jan. return home for a short spell then head into Baja about the middle of March crossing at TJ returning the first week in May. By the way we just spent five wonderful weeks in Canada mostly in forest service rec. sites, just crossed back to US today eh.

RE: Just to make it perfectly clear now...

Two different animals. You can find a little of Baja on the mainland a little of the mainland in Baja. In my opinion scenery, geography, and isolation (which is decreasing every year) are the biggest differences. As much as you enjoyed Baja, I think you will enjoy the Mainland also.

RE: Dish Network in Canada

Thanks for all the info. The web site above is GREAT. Another member gave me this web site http://www.dishpointer.com/ which gives all coordinates for my dish500. One can use postal codes, by city or by longtitude & latitude. Again thanks to all, got the info I need.

RE: Dish Network in Canada

Trailer Trash 2, I was unaware that you were the post police! But to answer your question, I never received an answer to my OP in regards to the postal code vs the zip code! I thought this forum would be better suited to get that answer. None of the posts you are bringing to my attention (like I haven't read them) do not address that question.

Dish Network in Canada

We will be spending about five weeks in Canada camping. Will I be able to get the coordinates to set the satellite by using the Canadian postal codes instead of U.S. zip code?

RE: RV Insurance yet again

We insure our RV with Proggressive, they include Mexico comp/collision. So all we do is purchase Mexican liablility which is cheap. Not sure if Progressive insures Canadian vehicles though??? Worth looking into.

RE: Anyone Camp in Mexico during the Summer Months?

Pacicic side of North Baja is very nice this time of year. Once you start into Baja Sur it gets warmer on the Pacific side the farther south one goes. We have been camping on Pacific side of Baja many times this time of year........beautiful!

RE: Recieving Dish Network Signal in Canada

We are headed to Canada next month we are taking our Dish Network, I thought it might be harder to get signal but should still get it. Is it worth taking?

Weekend Warrior closed their doors?

I just got off the phone with a W.W. dealer and he said W.W. closed their doors. He received an e-mail from them stating that they would not be sending or taking order on parts and they were closing their doors. He did not know if they were filing bankruptcy or exactly what was going on. Anyone else hear anything? I just purchased a Carbon Lite three weeks ago and I was to get touch up paint. I called to see if it was in yet and received the bad news, and NO touch up paint! There goes my manufactures warranty?
